Established in 1964, CMIEF is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing scholarships to undergraduate students specializing in mining, geology and metallurgy.
Financial support for the foundation is provided by individuals, corporations and foundations associated with the mining industry, as well as from those dedicated to helping students in pursuing their dreams. Our mission is to support and motivate university students who are keen in exploring the enriching career opportunities that the mining industry provides.
As a student in a mining focused program, this scholarship served as a reminder I was pursuing an industry filled with generosity that recognizes education, hard work, and community involvement. This allowed me to pursue my studies with my full commitment to ensure learning would always come first.
